Two Timin' Pasta Bake

Aaah... yes, Pinterest is such a wonderful source of recipe inspiration, isn't it? Too bad I don't have very many photographs on my blog--it's hard to pin things that don't have some sort of visual feel. But I'm thankful this gal did! This recipe is not knock-your-socks-off-good, in my humble opinion, but it is tasty, SUPER easy, and therefore delivers great taste bang for the effort buck, so to speak. Check out the original for some great step-by-step pictures if you like that sort of thing.

Two Timin' Pasta Bake
  • 1 (1-pound) box penne pasta, cooked according to package directions and drained
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (16-oz) jar alfredo sauce
  • 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
Combine sauces together. Stir in mozzarella cheese. Stir in cooked, drained pasta. Spoon/pour into 13x9-inch dish (it will look kind of runny).  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese and bake for another 5 minutes. (I covered mine for the first round and uncovered it when I put on the Parmesan cheese... the original recipe didn't specify.)
