Pumpkin Yogurt

This remains one of my toddler's all-time favorite things to eat; so far my boys (1 year old twins) love it, too! This is an early meal I start feeding my babies--as soon as they can have yogurt, they can eat this concoction. A great way to pack some beta carotene into lunch time: pumpkin is a super food. It's very free form, but I do follow a certain ratio:

1 spoonful canned pumpkin
1-2 spoonfuls plain yogurt

Mix together and serve! Now, here are the frequent additions: dashes of cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and/or nutmeg (cinnamon and ginger are regular companions); spoonful of applesauce; mashed banana...

I LOVE this idea! Brilliant! I'm gonna whip up a batch when we get back from the holiday weekend! I feel like my boys eat too much yogurt...this would be perfect...healthier and cheaper!!!

We don't eat any dairy, although I just ordered a dairy free yogurt starter to make coconut yogurt. When I make the coconut yogurt I definitely want to try your pumpkin yogurt. I also have a yummy pumpkin pie custard on my blog you might be interested in trying. Congratulations on your "I heart your blog" award.
