Mama Blanche's Devil's Food Cake

Here's a recipe I haven't tried, but it's on my list! I've been going through my mom's archive of old family recipes while I've been visiting and this gem is begging me to make it.... Mama Blanche is my great-grandmother (my mother's father's mother).

• 1 c. butter
• 3 c. sugar
• 4 c. flour sifted 3 times
• 6 eggs
• 2 c. milk
• 1 c. cocoa
• 2 t. soda
• 1 t. baking powder

1. Mix 1 cup milk in cocoa and place on stove to warm. Stir occasionally.
2. Mix butter, sugar, eggs. Beat well until light. Add milk and warm cocoa mixture. Add dry ingredients.
3. ??? I'll have to make it and let you know what we decide as to temperature and time :-).
