Side Dish Serving Suggestion(s): buttered noodles and steamed broccoli
- 2 pounds boneless stew meat (remove excess fat); can cut up a chuck roast as well
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. red wine
- Marinate meat in wine for 30 minutes.
- Mix all ingredients together in a 2 1/2 quart casserole.
- Cover casserole tightly.
- Bake for 3 hours at 350 degrees.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Makes 6 servings or so
