Cape Cod Oatmeal Cookies
From 
The Fannie Farmer Cookbook, 13th edition- 1 1/2 c. flour
 - 1/2 t. baking soda
 - 1 t. cinnamon
 - 1/2 t. salt
 - 1 egg, lightly beaten
 - 1 c. sugar
 - 1/2 c. melted butter
 - 1 T. molasses or sorghum
 - 1/4 c. milk
 - 1 3/4 c. oats, uncooked
 - 1/2 c. raisins, optional
 - 1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional
 - 1/2 c. chocolate chips, optional
 
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
 - Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
 - Drop by teaspoonfuls onto unbuttered cookie sheets and bake until edges are brown, 10-15 minutes (depends on size of cookie).
