Christmas Morning Rolls

These are a tradition at my in-laws and are such a treat! Like so many yummy special breakfast treats, they are assembled the night before. Pop them in the oven in the morning and enjoy.

  • 1 bag of 24 frozen dinner rolls (small rolls)
  • 1 box (3-3/4 oz.) vanilla or butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3/4 t. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. choppped nuts
Arrange frozen rolls in greased tube pan. Sprinkle dry pudding mix over rolls. Sprinkle nuts on rolls. Over low heat, cook remaining ingredients, until sugar is dissolved and bubbles. Pour over rolls. Cover tightly with foil; let stand on counter over night (do this step before you go to bed, not at 5 p.m. or something like that). Next morning, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Invert carefully over serving dish.
