- 1 pound stewing beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 2 t. dry mustard
- 4 oz. mushrooms
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. sour cream or plain yogurt
- rice or noodles
- Flour meat and brown in heavy pan.
- Add remaining ingredients (except sour cream and rice) and cook slowly for one hour or more, covered.
- Add sour cream or yogurt and heat through.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
