- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 T. butter
- pinch salt
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
- whipped cream
- Mix cocoa, sugar, and flour together. Put mixture into medium-sized saucepan. Add milk, stirring slowly to mix.
- In a separate container, beat eggs slightly, then whisk into saucepan mixture. Heat over medium heat.
- **Stir this mixture once it gets warm to keep it from sticking and burning on the bottom.**
- Add vanilla, butter, and a pinch of salt. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Pour into baked pie crust.
- Cool on counter or refrigerator before serving.
- Garnish with whipped cream.
