Easiest Holiday Baking

There's a reason some of these recipes of ours are here on this blog and continually make appearances in our homes: they're reliable and simple and, with a few exceptions (like the pecans), inexpensive. The following are the top recipes as far as ease and holiday baking go (in my opinion):

Grandmother's Rolls (if you're willing to make rolls, these are super easy--no kneading required! They also freeze great, so you can make them ahead of time. Make this recipe into loaves for an easy edible gift.)

Spice Cookies (use a smallish cookie cutter and you can make up to 8 dozen out of one batch; in addition, they taste quite similar to gingerbread--they'd make great gingerbread men because the dough is much easier to handle than typical gingerbread cookie dough).

Sweet Spice Pecans (always a hit, can be made ahead of time, and are quite easy)

Auntie's Gingersnaps (if you don't want to have to roll cookies out, these are another great, ginger-y cookie option; easy and kids love to help roll the balls in sugar)

Pine Bark Candy (you MUST try it if you've never done so!!!)
